What won the race: Inheriting command after early leader Eli Ross tangled with Jake Nightingale and pitted with a flat right-front tire, second-starting Brett Frazier of Vivan, La., led the rest of Saturday's 30-lap Nutrien Ag Solutions Revival Super Dirt Series debut at Southern Oklahoma Speedway. Frazier was unchallenged in beating Dustin Bolster by 2.659 seconds for the $3,000 paycheck and his first career Super Late Model victory.
Quotable: "(This win) has been a lot of years in the making," Frazier choked, overcome with emotion. "As I’m racing, I know my brother’s out there watching. He just got through with colon cancer cause he’s been racing with me forever and he’s not here tonight, but he is cancer free, so I’m thinking about him and I know he’s watching. I love him, I couldn’t have done it without you."
Key notes: Polesitter and points leader Eli Ross suffered right-front damage on a lap-two tangle that involved Jake Nightingale, sending both drivers to restart at the back of the field. ... Ross slowed with a right-rear flat on the ensuing restart then worked his way as high as fourth by lap 22 before fading to sixth and pulling off on the last lap; Ross was credited with 11th. ... Nightingale soldiered to an eighth-place finish. ... The early-race trouble for both frontrunners opened the door for Brett Frazier, who led the final 29 laps for his first career Super Late Model victory and first win of any kind since Nov. 25, 2023's Ray Ingalls Memorial at Boothill Speedway in Greenwood, La., in 604 Crate Late Model action. ... Frazier's victory makes it three straight first-time Revival Series winners on the third-year tour. ... Eighth-starting Dustin Bolster prevailed to finish second after a midrace back-and-forth battle with Jon Mitchell; Mitchell slipped as low as fifth on lap 22, then reclaimed fourth from Eli Ross a couple laps later. ... Teenager Austin Storm pursued Frazier from laps 2-17 before briefly leaving the turn-two racing surface and slipping to sixth. ... Besides the first two cautions triggered by Eli Ross's flats, the race was slowed one other time for Jay Sale's turn-four spin on lap 14; Sale rallied to finish 10th. ... Twelve-year-old Callan Hill, making his Late Model debut, slowed from sixth and retired just before the lap-14 stoppage. ... The 30-lap feature lasted 24 minutes with 15 starters running at the finish. ... Trey Langley scratched.
On the move: Chris Bragg of Springtown, Texas, started 20th and finished third.
