Jason Jameson and supporters celebrate his second win of the season.
What won the race: Fast qualifier Jason Jameson of Lawrenceburg, Ind., led all the way Friday at Ponderosa Speedway for a $4,000 victory on the first-year Slingin' Dirt Late Model Series. Jameson took the checkers 1.825 seconds ahead of Skylar Marlar in the tour's second event.
Key notes: Jameson lapped all but four competitors for his second victory of the season, adding to a June 12 unsanctioned win at Ponderosa. ... Three cautions slowed the action, the first on the 14th lap for Bill Wagner's flat tire. ... A lap-17 caution appeared for debris. ... On the 21st lap, David Webb, who ran as high as third, had a flat tire. ... The 15-minute feature concluded at 9:58 p.m. ... The track dodged rain during the day and the Late Model feature beat an approaching storm, scrapping heat races. ...
