What won the race: Polesitter Cody Overton of Evans, Ga., fought off early pressure from Joseph Joiner then a late surge by Ashton Winger to lead all 50 laps Saturday at Swainsboro Raceway, completing a sweep of the Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series-sanctioned Southern Showcase. Overton took the checkers 1.197 seconds ahead of Joiner for the $12,000 paycheck, adding to the $8,000 he earned in Friday's opener in notching his fifth Super Late Model victory of the season.

Quotable: "Went with a different tire this time, but it was awesome. My car is unreal right now and I cannot thank everybody that’s behind me (enough) right now," Overton said. "My dad got to come, we went and got him this morning. He’s the man I want to make proud, so it’s awesome. This home (state) crowd and a lot of money, too."

Key notes: Overton earned his second Hunt the Front Series victory in as many nights and his 10th overall feature win of the season, four of them coming at Swainsboro. ... Fourth-starting Joseph Joiner got an excellent launch on the initial start and challenged Overton in the early going before eventually giving way to Ashton Winger on lap 33. ... The seventh-starting Winger cut Overton's lead as low as 0.779 of a second on lap 36 before falling back into Joiner's clutches, with Joiner retaking the runner-up spot on the 43rd lap. ... Joiner knocked a half-second off Overton's lead in the late going, but never seriously challenged for the top spot. ... Second-starting Austin Smith prevailed to finish fourth after a late back-and-forth battle with Luke Morey, leaving Morey to settle for fifth. ... Bubba Roling climbed six spots to place seventh. ... Sam Seawright finished 11th with his right-rear quarterpanel flapping in the wind from wall contact. ... Beckham Malone finished 16th as the first starter one lap down after his team won the night's Hellraizer Jacks pit stop challenge, worth $500 along with a new jack. ... The race was halted by a lone caution on lap 18 when Jason Lively slowed after hitting the backstretch wall and retiring. ... The 50-lap weekend finale lasted just shy of 18 minutes with 20 starters running at the finish.
