What won the race: Regaining the lead on a lap-21 restart, Hudson O'Neal of Martinsville, Ind., led the rest of Wednesday's 50-lap FloRacing Night in America event at Mason City Motor Speedway for a $20,000 payday. The second-starting O'Neal, who led the first six laps before Nick Hoffman led laps 7-20, took the checkers 0.361 of a second ahead of the fourth-starting Hoffman, who regained the runner-up spot from seventh-starting Bobby Pierce on the final lap.

Quotable: "This K&L Rumley car has been good the last two nights. It was good last night and the driver didn't do his job in the heat race, and then cost us at least a second place there at the very end, jumping the cushion again," O'Neal said. "So I was just trying to make sure, telling myself, you know, 'It's better to be consistent around that top than it is to be track record speed.'"

Mason City and Tuesday's event at Marshalltown (won by Bobby Pierce) were part of Iowa Speedweek and a miniseries points fund offering a $10,000 total payout, with $2,500 to the driver who earns the most points over the four-race Iowa stretch that continues at the World of Outlaws-sanctioned Hawkeye 100 at Maquoketa Speedway.
