Batesville's pits are bustling for Saturday's Topless 100 finale.

Key notes: Batesville Motor Speedway hosts the 34th annual Ace Doran Topless 100 presented by Big River Steel, a two-day event culminating with Saturday’s 100-lap, $50,000-to-win main event. … The weekend at the Mooney and Connie Starr-promoted oval kicked off with Max Blair and Ricky Thornton Jr. splitting Friday’s 25-lap, attrition-plagued semifeatures, each collecting $5,000. … The top-16 point earners are locked-in for Saturday’s feature with all remaining drivers needing to qualify through one of Saturday’s consolations, preceding the 100-lap finale. … Roberts Motorsports announced series regular Garrett Alberson won't enter the event while recovering from serious injuries suffered when his helmet was struck by an object during Aug. 8's Sunoco North-South 100 at Florence Speedway in Union, Ky. … Jonathan Davenport led the final 64 laps to win last year’s $50,000 top prize after Brandon Sheppard blew a right-rear tire while leading.
