Cade Dillard picked up a $5,066 check in Muskogee, Okla.
What won the race: Outside front-row starter Cade Dillard of Robeline, La., regained the lead from Eli Ross on lap 17 and survived a late restart to lead the final four circuits of Saturday's fourth annual Hayden Ross Memorial finale at Thunderbird Speedway. Dillard earned $5,066 for his 15th career Comp Cams Super Dirt Series victory, seventh on the Nutrien Ag Solutions Revival Super Dirt Series and second Ross Foundation Sooner Late Model Series triumph.
Quotable: "Glad we could get it going tonight. (We) had a lot better racetrack tonight, so hats off to everybody for that," Dillard said. "It raced really good tonight, first time we came here just unfortunate circumstances with the rain and all. It was definitely one hundred percent better this go around. It’s a cool place, got that historic feel to it."
Key notes: Friday's winner Eli Ross charged underneath Dillard in turns three and four following a lap-12 restart and led until Dillard regained control on the 17th lap. ... Ross settled for fifth after winning the previous night's $6,916 prelim in the event that honors Hayden Ross of Muskogee, Okla., who tragically died in October of 2022 at the age of 20 and was posthumously crowned the 2022 Sooner Series champion. … Dillard won June 26's Ross Memorial opener before rain postponed the finale into this weekend's two-day event. ... Polesitter Billy Moyer Jr. took the runner-up spot on the 19th lap and cut Dillard's advantage by more than a second, finishing 0.852 of a second back at the line. ... Tenth-starting Kyle Beard captured his second third-place finish in as many nights. ... Timothy Culp gained three spots to place sixth. ... Morgan Bagley started fourth and was running second when smoke from underneath the hood forced him to retire on lap 13. … Fourth-running R.C. Whitwell retired on the 17th lap. ... The 20-lap feature lasted 24 minutes with 17 starters completing the distance. ... Dillon Rupe and Doug Tye scratched before heat race action.
On the move: Kyle Beard of Trumann, Ark., started 10th and finished third.
Winner's sponsors: Dillard’s Longhorn Chassis is powered by a Clements Racing Engine and sponsored by S&S Fishing & Rental, Joel’s Auto Sales, Strength Roofing & Siding, Jenkins Logging, Johnsville Company, Jody’s Oilfield Service, Bryan Cook Trucks, Hoosier Racing Tire, Lonestar Equipment & Repair, Mesilla Valley Transportation, Nichols, Production Jars, Integra Shocks, VP Racing Fuels and Supreme Vinyl Works.
