Jeremy Steele enjoys his first career Crate Racin' USA Series victory.
What won the race: Unfazed by numerous restarts throughout the 50-lapper, polesitter Jeremy Steele of York, S.C., led all the way to capture Saturday's $10,000 Pine Tree 100 at Swainsboro Raceway. Steele beat Jimmy Thomas to the line by 1.555 seconds for his first career Rogers-Dabbs Crate Racin' USA 604 Series victory and first win of the season.
Quotable: “It feels like it’s finally about time (to win). This place and this series, I’ve put myself in the spot to do it so many times and everything don’t go your way, you run second you run third," Steele said. "You can’t be mad about that, but you go home and you keep working and it feels good when one of them finally comes together. I’ve always wanted one of these cool trophies they have down here, I love this place.”

Trent McLeod triggered the race's first caution when he slowed with heavy left-front damage on the third lap. He rebounded for 12th, the first finisher one lap down. ... Fifth-running Joey Armistead slammed the turn-three wall on lap 25 for the seventh slowdown. ... The 50-lapper was slowed by two red flags, the first under the lap-three yellow when a bank of lights went dark in turn three and again under a lap-33 caution when Caleb Gay required a tow off the frontstretch wall. ...
