Casey Roberts (101) stalks G.R. Smith (22) on the final lap.
What won the race: Casey Roberts of Toccoa, Ga., slid under G.R. Smith of Mooresville, N.C., entering turn three on the final lap to grab a $5,000 Ultimate Super Late Model Series victory, his third of the season on the series.
Quotable: "It was real exciting there," Roberts said. "We just didn't give up."
Key notes: Roberts has a series-leading 15 career victories. ... Polesitter Brandon Overton of Appling, Ga., led most of the way, but fifth-starting G.R. Smith stole the lead with an outside move on a late restart. ... Roberts slipped under Overton for second with three laps remaining, then tracked down Smith to make the winning pass. ... Dustin Mitchell, who entered the race with the points lead, fell out with radiator damage on the 17th lap after tangling with Jim Manka. ... The series made only its second ever appearance at Screven and first since 2012.
Winner's sponsors: Roberts's Jim and Ann Cushman-owned Longhorn Chassis is powered by a Custom Race Engine and carries sponsorship from Cushman Paint & Body, Hoosier Racing Tire, M&S Concrete, Schaeffer Oil, Starrette Trucking and VP Racing Fuels.
Points chase: Roberts moved into the series points lead with his third victory.
