Mike Marlar celebrates after grabbing Thursday's World of Outlaws win at Red River Valley.
What won the race: Inheriting the point when race-long leader Ryan Gustin sustained a flat right-rear tire during a lap-27 caution, fifth-starting Mike Marlar of Winfield, Tenn., paced the final 13 circuits to win Thursday's $10,000 Titan Machinery Showdown at Red River Valley Speedway. Quotable: “The track was just way more aggressive than I anticipated," Marlar said. "We ran the heat and it was ‘get it on’ and just before the feature, just for extra precaution, I put on a few extra tearoffs and I just about run out. I don’t know where all the mud kept coming from, it was like hard and slick when we started and wide-open after that."
