Josh Putnam celebrates his richest victory atop his car.
What won the race: Sneaking into the lead during a wild Ashton Winger-Drake Troutman battle in the final laps, Josh Putnam of Florence, Ala., came from nowhere to lead the final two circuits for a career-richest $20,000 victory in the 32nd annual Coors Light Fall Classic at Whynot Motorsports Park. Winger was in control with 10 laps remaining when Troutman challenged, setting off a back-and-forth battle swapping positions and sheetmetal until Putnam guided his No. 212 underneath both of them heading for the white flag.
Quotable: "I just drove with no wheelspin and tried my best not to slide this thing and have it for the end," Putnam said. “That's not me. I like to get up on the damn wheel, mash on this thing, but it shows you that patience — and a little age — and calming down will get you wins.”

On the 31st lap, Joseph Joiner and Brody Smith got together exiting turn four. ... Cam Harris slowed on the 44th laps. ... The 31-minute feature concluded at 11:15 p.m. ... In prelims, Cade Dillard tagged the third heat race after switching to a backup car following issues discovered after time trials. ...
