Andrew Kosiski picked up a $3,000 payday at Beatrice Speedway.
What won the race: Second-starting Andrew Kosiski of Omaha, Neb., fired off from the outside front row and never looked back, leading all 25 laps at Beatrice Speedway and winning Friday's $3,000 Malvern Bank Series feature. Kosiski collected his second main event win of the season after topping a (sister series) Hoker Trucking race last month and notched his third career Malvern Bank Series triumph.
Key notes: Pole-starting Derrick Stewart failed to lead a lap, but pressured Kosiski for the entire distance, finishing 0.846 of a second back. ... After earning his first Malvern Bank Series win of the season last weekend, Tad Pospisil advanced four positions and finished third. ... Corey Zeitner and Charlie McKenna each gained two spots, finishing seventh and ninth. ... Justin Zeitner drew the race's first caution when he slowed from sixth on lap 12 and pulled off with apparent mechanical trouble. ... Dylan Sillman spun to draw the final caution on lap 15 before retiring from the race. ... Friday's feature, the first series stop at Beatrice since 2013, was slowed by those two separate incidents and lasted 12 minutes, with 15 competitors completing all 25 laps. … The Malvern Bank Series concludes its weekend doubleheader with Saturday’s $3,000-to-win finale at Junction Motor Speedway in McCool Junction, Neb.
On the move: J.C. Wyman of Griswold, Iowa, started 14th and finished eighth.
Winner's sponsors: Kosiski’s Longhorn Chassis is sponsored by Kosiski Auto Parts, Zumbrota Drivetrain, Certified Transmission, A1 Crashed Cars, We’ll Smoke You BBQ, Connors Fight To Cure Duchenenne Muscular Dystrophy and Zander Enterprises.
