What won the race: Leading all but the first lap, polesitter Gary Brown Jr. of Brandon, S.D., won Friday at Fairmont Raceway for his second victory of the season on the Repairable Vehicles.com Tri-State Series. Brown earned $2,400 in the 20-lapper as he took the checkers 0.452 of a second ahead of Cole Searing. First-lap leader and outside front-row starter Blair Nothdurft finished third.
Key notes: Brown notched his 11th career series victory, second on the all-time list. ... Cody Martin and Trevor Anderson each advanced three positions, finishing fourth and fifth. ... Nine of 17 starters completed 20 laps and 11 were running at the finish. ... Keith Schenkel of Sioux Falls, S.D., finished 10th in his first series feature start. ... John Winge was disqualified and placed 17th in the finishing order; he retaliated against Lane Brenden during a caution period. ...
