Ricky McClain drives the Derek Dent-owned BMF Race Car to win Saturday's $5,000 602 Crate Late Model feature at Screven.
What won the race: Second-starting Ricky McClain of Statesboro, Ga., led all 25 laps at Screven Motor Speedway, winning Saturday's $5,000 602 Bandits portion of the 13th annual Winter Freeze. McClain earned his third 602 Crate Late Model victory at Screven in the last seven months, increasing his total race winnings to over $9,000 during that time.
Key notes: Blake Craft moved into the runner-up position on a lap-14 restart and finished 1.599 seconds back. ... Luke Cooper advanced three positions and finished third. ... After winning Friday's $2,000 opener Cameron Tribble gained three spots and finished fifth. ... The Mintz brothers battled side-by-side in the closing laps with Austin prevailing to finish sixth over Justin. ... Polesitter David Smith failed to lead a lap and finished eighth. ... Jake Jackson advanced 10 spots and finished 11th. ... Saturday's feature, part of the 13th annual Winter Freeze, was slowed by six cautions and lasted 26 minutes, with 16 drivers completing all 25 laps.
On the move: Ben Faircloth of Swainsboro, Ga., started 11th and finished fourth.
