The Palmetto State invader swept the night, earning a $5,000 payday by a margin of 1.448 seconds over Jeremy Steele of York, S.C.
Quotable: "I was just really comfortable," Brown said. "It didn't matter if I needed to go high, low, wide open ... whatever I needed to do in the cockpit, I was just so maneuverable."

The third-starting Steele took the second spot on lap two and settled there for the remainder of the distance for a runner-up finish. ... Twelve starters completed all 50 laps. ... Justin Smith of Barboursville, Ky. won Saturday's Mayhem in the Mountains opener at Smoky Mountain Speedway in Maryville, Tenn. … Wythe has hosted a Mayhem in the Mountains event the last three seasons with Jesse Lowe winning last year’s race and Brandon Williams claiming the checkered flag in 2019; the 2020 event was cancelled due to coronavirus restrictions. … The race wrapped up a busy Memorial Day weekend at Wythe, which also hosted two rounds of championship bull riding in the track infield.
On the move: Series points leader Hayden Cardwell of Knoxville, Tenn., started 14th and finished third.
