Joe Martin picked up the check at Stateline's Bill Law Memorial.
What won the race: After enduring a lengthy weather delay and ensuing track prep, polesitter Joe Martin of Mayport, Pa., won Saturday's Bill Law Memorial feature at Stateline Speedway, topping the RUSH Crate Late Model Series field for $3,000.
Quotable: "I was back there eating hot dogs. I could not believe when I walked up to the track, how these guys had it prepped," Martin said. "I knew we weren't very far, but I knew we had changes to make. We were scrambling back there, but I'd say we made the right changes. The adjustment we made and the driver showed up tonight, I caused us a lot of work last night, and just getting out front and getting comfortable, getting driver confidence."
Key notes: Jason Genco of Jamestown, N.Y., and Chub Frank of Bear Lake, Pa., completed the podium, finishing second and third. ... After earning fast qualifier honors and winning the first heat race, John Waters of Whitesville, N.Y., finished fourth. ... Defending event winner Jeremy Wonderling of Wellsville, N.Y., finished sixth. ... Reigning Stateline Crate Late Model champion Scott Gurdak of Bear Lake, Pa., started 23rd and advanced nine positions to finish 14th. ... The race honors the region's first Crate Late Model car owner, who died in 2012 and serves as Stateline Speedway's season opener after last weekend's race was rained out.
On the move: Logan Roberson of Waynesboro, Va., started 15th and finished 10th.
Winner's sponsors: Martin’s Rocket Chassis is sponsored by T&D Performance 24-Hour Towing, Berkshire Hathaway, Tuff Nuts and Weather Capital Sales.
