Henry Carter emerges in victory lane at Needmore Speedway.
What won the race: Henry Carter of Kite, Ga., led all 50 laps from the pole, winning Saturday's third annual Gene Maine Memorial feature at Needmore Speedway and topping the Crate Racin' USA field for $10,000.
Key notes: Inheriting the second position on lap nine, Clay Harris of Jupiter, Fla., finished in the runner-up position, 1.519 seconds behind Carter. ... After winning the third consolation race, 13th-starting Trynt Lloyd of Jacksonville, Fla., advanced 10 positions and finished third. ... Defending Crate Racin' USA national champion, Jimmy Thomas of Phenix City, Ala., finished fourth. ... Nineteenth-starting Jonah Bozeman of Moultrie, Ga., advanced 12 positions and finished seventh. ... After causing the fourth caution on lap 26, Cody Overton of Evans, Ga., rebounded to finish ninth. ... Running in third place from lap nine until his race ended on lap 44, Ryan Crane of Panama City, Fla., finished 14th. ... A lap-eight incident required over 20 minutes of cleanup and ended the nights for five drivers, including Jason Welshan of Maryville, Tenn., and hometown driver Ty Giles. ... Saturday's feature, a race honoring the late driver of the No. 201 Late Model, one of the region's most successful dirt racers, was slowed by six cautions and lasted over 56 minutes, with ten competitors completing all 50 laps.
