What won the race: Polesitter Jason Covert of York Haven, Pa., raced to a 35-lap Larry Hills Memorial victory Saturday at Potomac Speedway for a $5,000 winning purse in an unsanctioned Super Late Model special. Covert picked up an additional $1,315 in bonus money in his 18th career Potomac victory.
Key notes: Runner-up Jamie Lathroum led the first five laps before Covert took command and cruised the rest of the way. ... Covert notched his fifth and richest victory of the season. ... Covert also earned $3,000 for winning Potomac's Ernie Jones Memorial in July. … Chuck Bowie won the night’s Crate Late Model feature while Jeremy Pilkerton locked up the division title for the second straight year.
