What won the race: Pulling away ahead of Zach Dohm on the second lap, Camaron Marlar of Winfield, Tenn., topped Dohm and Billy Moyer Jr. to capture the biggest win of his career in the 27th Fall Classic at Ponderosa Speedway. Marlar earned $5,000 for his first career Schaeffer's Iron-Man Series triumph.
Quotable: “We’ve had a lot of issues, a lot of ups and downs … more downs than ups. We finally got it all together and gathered one night and put one together,” said Marlar. “I’m just happy.”
Key notes: Camaron Marlar joined his brother Skylar Marlar as a Schaeffer's Iron-Man Series winner. ... Camaron Marlar's older brother Mike Marlar finished fourth. He finished 10th.
On the move: Mike Marlar of Winfield, Tenn., started ninth and finished fourth.
Winner's sponsors: Marlar’s winning No. 57 is sponsored by Don Franklin Automotive, Marlar Automart, Gerald’s Auto Parts and PPM.
