Ben Watkins grabbed a $4,000 victory at Lancaster.
What won the race: After inheriting the lead on lap 10, Ben Watkins of Rock Hill, S.C., dominated the remaining distance to win Saturday night's 40-lap Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series feature at Lancaster Speedway. He beat Johnny Pursley to the finish line by a commanding margin of 6.301 seconds.
Key notes: Watkins moved into the top spot on lap 10 after Zack Mitchell was involved in a restart incident; he marched on to his third career Clash triumph. ... Mitchell, who won March 7's season-opening Clash event at Lancaster, was relegated to a 10th-place finish. ... Early contender Brett Hamm experienced trouble and finished 12th. ... Dennis Franklin, the tour’s winningest driver at Lancaster, finished third. ... The grueling feature was slowed by five cautions and lasted over 48 minutes. ...
