PHENIX CITY, Ala. (Nov. 3) — Inheriting the victory when apparent winner Austin Horton of Newman, Ga., was deemed to have an illegal right rear tire, Mark Whitener of Middleburg, Fla., picked up his second $5,000 payday of the weekend. Whitener crossed the finish line in the runner-up position, 2.190 seconds behind Horton, but was raised to the winner’s position following Horton’s disqualification.

Dennis Hale was bumped to second, while Parker Martin, who crossed the stripe fourth, was lifted to third. Travis Pennington and Jody Knowles completed the top five in revamped rundown.

Editor's note: On Dec. 12, Austin Horton was reinstated as the race winner following an investigation by EAMS officials that revealed his RR tire was approved by a race official prior to the feature event and that it did not give him a competitive advantage.
