What won the race: Overtaking polesitter Billy Franklin on the fifth lap, Chad Thrash of Collinsville, Miss., led the rest of the Dixie 50 at Hattiesburg Speedway for his third straight Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series victory. Thrash in $4,000 in taking the checkers ahead of Franklin.
Key notes: Thrash is the first driver on the MSCCS circuit with three straight victories since Bub McCool won three in a row at Jackson (tiwce) and Whynot from Aug. 29-Sept. 19, 2015. ...
