Brad Looney heads to his fourth series win of the season.
What won the race: Ninth-starting Brad Looney of Republic, Mo., raced to his fourth Malvern Bank Cash Money win of the season, winning Saturday at Legit Speedway Park ahead of second-starting Darrin Crisler. Looney earned $1,000.
Key notes: Brad Looney remained unbeaten on the Malvern Bank Cash Money Series with his fourth victory of the season and fifth of his career. … Polesitter Eddie Martin of Stillwell, Okla., finished 17th. … Brandon Maggard of Clever, Mo., entered the race second in series points but finished 22nd. … With his ninth-to-first run, Looney was among five drivers who improved at least seven positions in the feature. Others included Justin Glover (13th-to-sixth); Cole Wells (15th-to-eighth); Mike Hailmann (17th-to-ninth); and Jon Driskill (19th-to-11th). … Legit Speedway hosted the Malvern Bank Cash Money Series Saturday, the first night of the tour’s weekend doubleheader. … It’s the series second-ever visit to Legit Speedway Park (formerly West Plains Motor Speedway) and only stop at the Missouri oval this season.
