What won the race: Surviving a late-race challenge from tail-starting Garrett Alberson, hometown driver Neil Baggett scored a $3,525 victory in Columbus Speedway's unsanctioned Chris Myers Memorial.
Key notes: Baggett, a seven-time winner on the Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series, was the winner of the March 15 Southern All Stars opener at Southern Raceway in Milton, Fla. … Alberson, who serves as crew chief for Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series contender Earl Pearson Jr., made his seventh start of the season. … Alberson missed prelims because the team locked their keys in the hauler; a locksmith came and allowed him to tag the tail of the feature. ...
