What won the race: Polesitter Tyler Erb of New Waverly, Texas, dominated the entire 40-lap distance to score his second USA Tour victory at Collie Speedway. Erb finished 6.5 seconds ahead of runner-up finisher Jamie Oldfield at the checkered flag.
Quotable: "It's a good thing I've been trying to work out a little bit because it beat you down," Erb said. "In the back of my mind I was thinking, 'Billy (Moyer) and them guys don't like that stuff, so hopefully they're just kind of easing back.' ... I was just trying to maintain a good pace and not abuse my tires. I was trying to make the best lines, kind of go high and dive back down across the poles. But it was one out of every two laps you could kind of avoid (lapped cars)."
Key notes: Erb scored his second straight victory of the 2019 USA Tour. He was the winner of the Jan. 12 event at Perth Motorplex. ... Erb also picked up a win at Collie Speedway during last year's USA Tour. ... There were pileups on the first two starts that involved several cars. ... Simon McNab, Jayden Meckenstock and Jamie Moon were among drivers that did not start the feature. ... Fifth-place finisher Billy Moyer was the winner of the Jan. 9 USA Tour opener at Perth. ... The tour wraps up on Jan. 19 at Bunbury Speedway.
Points chase: After three events, Erb tops the USA Tour points standings over Billy Moyer and Michael Holmes.
