What won the race: Doug Drown of Wooster, Ohio, dominated Saturday's September Shootout at Raceway 7 for a $5,000 victory. He took the checkers 2.372 seconds ahead of Darrell Bossard.
Key notes: Drown notched his fifth overall victory of the season at four tracks. ... The $5,000 payday was his richest victory since his 2013 DIRTcar Summer Nationals at Attica (Ohio) Raceway Park. ... Mike Maresca rallied back to fourth after a lap-12 slipup dropped him out of the top five. ... Several minor cautions slowed the action. ... Runner-up Darrell Bossard took the second spot from Alex Ferree on a lap-10 restart.
