Donny Schatz picked up a $1,500 victory at Nodak Speedway.
What won the race: Sprint car superstar Donny Schatz of Fargo, N.D., regained the lead from polesitter Mike Balcaen on the 22nd lap and led the rest of Sunday's 30-lapper at Nodak Speedway for his sixth career Northern LateModel Racing Association victory. Schatz earned $1,500 in taking the checkers ahead of series points leader Dustin Strand.
Key notes: Schatz led laps 11-13 and 22-30 while third-finishing Mike Balcaen led the other laps. ... Balcaen was a late retiree. ... Sixteen drivers were running at the finish. ...
