What won the race: Second-starting Tyler Bare of Rockbridge Baths, Va., outran fellow front-row starter Jared Hawkins on his way to a $5,200 payday in Friday's Red Fredrick Memorial at Elkins Raceway. Bare led all 52 laps and took the checkers 1.830 seconds ahead of Hawkins in the first of two weekend specials at Elkins.
Key notes: Bare, whose first Super Late Model victory came last month at Virginia Motor Speedway in Bryan Klinedinst's No. 43a Rocket Chassis, notched his sixth overall victory of 2018 driving his family-owned No. 30 Rocket. ...
