Ross Bailes picked up $3,000 for his victory at Friendship.
What won the race: Fourth-starting Ross Bailes of Clover, S.C., jumped to the lead early and raced to his third of the season on the first-year tour, collecting $3,000 for his efforts.
Key notes: Second-running Ricky Weeks of Rutherfordton, N.C., was forced to retire early with 10 laps remaining in the feature event. ... Bailes previously won FUEL events on April 26 at Friendship and June 14 at Harris (N.C.) Motor Speedway. ... Saturday's stop was scheduled as the second of two holiday events for FUEL competitors, but Thursday's event at Cherokee Speedway in Gaffney, S.C., was rained out following time trials. ... The tour is amid its busiest month of action. ... Cherokee's event was reset for July 12. ... The first-year tour also set a July 25-26 doubleheader at Carolina Speedway in Gastonia, N.C., and Fayetteville (N.C.) Motor Speedway this week.
