What won the race: Winning his fourth race in five series starts this season, John Cornell of Phoenix, Ariz., caught and passed early leader Brad Williams for a Southwest Dirt Racing Association victory at Central Arizona Speedway. He earned $700.
Key notes: Cornell finished 1.643 seconds ahead of Williams, who finished second for the third straight series race. … Lacy earned the pole following a six-car redraw. … Donald Curtis and Craig Parker didn’t make the heat race call due to engine-related issues.
