What won the race: Taking the lead from Travis Pennington on lap 28, Ches Chester of Twin City, Ga., earned a $3,000 Fastrak Racing Series victory Saturday at Screven Motor Speedway. Chester's 40-lap Battle Royale triumph paid $3,000 as he took the checkers 3.605 seconds ahead of Bob Robertson, who led the first 15 laps.
Key notes: Travis Pennington of Stapleton, Ga., who led laps 16-27 before fading to finish seventh, won a $2,000-to-win unsanctioned Crate Late Model feature at Screven on Friday. ... Every feature starter except Nick Deitz, who retired on the 11th lap, completed 40 laps. ... The race kicked off a stretch of four races in four weeks for the FASTRAK Series.
