Hunter Rasdon celebrates his Comp Cams Series victory at Lone Star Speedway.
What won the race: Hunter Rasdon of Jonesboro, Ark., earned $3,110 for his eighth career Comp Cams Super Dirt Series victory on Saturday night at Lone Star Speedway. Rasdon led the entire distance to take the checkers ahead of fellow heat winners Jon Mitchell and Robert Baker in the 40-lap Bunny Hop Spring Nationals.
Key notes: Rasdon's previous series victory came Sept. 4, 2016, in Greenville, Miss. He's now tied for sixth on the all-time tour victory list with Bill Frye. ... After the first 34 laps of the feature ran uninterrupted, cautions were needed for Robby Moore and Chandler Petty. ... Cade Dillard of Robeline, La., won Friday’s stop at Timberline Speedway in Corley, Texas, but a heat-race spin hurt his chances at Lone Star and he finished 10th in the feature. ... Mechanical trouble prevented David Payne from starting the feature for the second consecutive night.
On the move: B.J. Robinson advanced from the 18th starting spot to finish 11th.
Winner's sponsors: Rasdon's No. R5 is sponsored by Baker Welman Brown, Brown Bros. Farms, Case Baker Implement and AgriGold.
Points chase: Entering the weekend, Jack Sullivan (369 points) led Robert Baker (359) and B.J. Robinson (335).
