What won the race: Polesitter Austin Kirkpatrick of Ocala, Fla., led all the way to pocket $3,000 for his first United Dirt Late Model Challenge Series victory. Kirkpatrick held off a late rally from fourth-starting Jason Fitzgerald of Middleburg, Fla.
Key notes: Fitzgerald overtook Bo Allen for second on the 40th lap; a caution with four laps remaining gave him a shot at Kirkpatrick, but he couldn't find a way past. ... Cecil Eunice stopped in turns three and four on the 22nd circuit. ... John Kellum brought out a caution in the feature's middle stages. ... The Florida-based tour visited Golden Isles for only the third time ever and the first time since 2009. ... Along with Waycross Motor Speedway, GIS is one of only two Georgia tracks to host the series.
Winner's sponsors: Kirkpatrick's No. 11 Barry Wright Race Car is sponsored by ATM Motorsports, Hitman Racing Suspension, M&S Bank, NAI Heritage, Sonny's Bar-B-Q and Spruce Creek.
