Kenny Collins earned $3,000 for his Iron-Man win at I-75.
What won the race: Polesitter Kenny Collins of Colbert, Ga., led all 30 laps outrunning third-starting David Payne of Murphy, N.C., capturing the Schaeffer Oil Iron-Man Mountain Championship victory at I-75 Speedway for the $3,000 payday. Collins took the checkers ahead of Payne by 1.303 seconds.
Key notes: The race was slowed by four cautions. ... Ten of the sixteen starters finished on the lead lap. ... On the move: Levi Ashby of Cumberland Furnace, Tenn., started 16th to finish eighth.
Winner's sponsors: Collins drives a Longhorn Chassis with sponsorship from Collins Signs, Erwin Racing Supply, Dockery Transport, Superior Rollout Solutions, Poole’s Fab & Custom Bodies, Kenny Harris Grading, Schoenfeld Headers, RC Performance Racing Transmissions, Thomas Clarke Performance and Schaeffer’s Racing OIl.
Points chase: Entering the event Shanon Buckingham (200) of Morristown, Tenn., leads the series points over Billy Ogle Jr. (196) of Knoxville, Tenn., and Justin Litchford (194) of Tullahoma, Tenn.
