Bub McCool advanced six positions for his Greenville victory.
What won the race: Snapping a three-race win streak on the Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series by David Breazeale of Four Corners, Miss., seventh-starting Bub McCool of Vicksburg, Miss., roared to the front for a $2,500 victory.
Key notes: McCool has 12 career series victories; his previous came Oct. 4-5, 2013, in Greenville's Gumbo Nationals. ... The feature's first retiree, Duke Palasini of Leland, Miss., is the reigning track champion. ... In total, the quarter-mile oval plays host to four different Late Model tours in 2014. ... Saturday was the second of four series stops in Greenville. ... Series competitors return to the track on July 26 and Oct. 3-4.
On the move: The winning McCool came from seventh; other movers were Timothy Culp (fifth to second) and Breazeale (11th to sixth).
