Sam Seawright, at 13 years old, picked up a $5,000 Fort Payne victory.
What won the race: Inheriting the lead just shy of the halfway mark when race leader Jake Teague suffered mechanical issues, Sam Seawright, 13, of Rainsville, Ala., topped Ethan Hunter en route to a United Crate Racing Alliance Series victory in the UCRA Invitational at Fort Payne Motor Speedway. Seawright earned $5,000 for the victory.
Key notes: Seawright scored his first career UCRA victory and the richest victory of his career. ... Ninety drivers were eligible for the invitational event. ... Sam Seawright's brother J.T. won the weekend's Super Late Model feature.
