Key notes: Kratzer has two series victories this season; the first came July 16 at the Kansas State Fairgrounds in Hutchinson, Kan. ... Shepard got too hight exiting turn two on the fifth lap and collected the fourth-running Delbert Smith when he returned to the track. Smith's spin triggered a caution. ... The only other caution appeared when Robert Shepard stalled early in the race. ... Jimmy Segraves was disqualified after finishing fifth. ... Four more series races remain, including Sept. 24 and Oct. 8 events back at 81 Speedway.
On the move: Dan Smith of Beloit, Kan., started seventh and finished fourth.
