What won the race: Dominating the Hall of Fame Clash, Chris Ferguson of Mount Holly, N.C., earned $4,000 Sunday for his second Carolina Clash victory of the season at Cherokee Speedway. Series points leader Johnny Pursley finished second with Ross Bailes in third at the 4/10-mile oval.
Key notes: Ferguson's 13th career Carolina Clash victory puts him alone in fourth on the all-time series victory list. ... Ferguson also won May 7 in Carolina Clash action at Cherokee. ... Pursley has finished on the podium in nine of the tour's last 10 races. ... Jeff Smith won at Lancaster Speedway to open the tour's doubleheader weekend. ...
