Robbie Stuart takes the checkers at Battleground.
What won the race: Outside polesitter Robbie Stuart of DeRidder, La., topped sixth-starting B.J. Robinson of Bossier, La., to score his ninth career P&W Sales Southern United Professional Racing Series victory at Battleground Race Park. He earned a $2,000 payday.
Key notes: Stuart captured his first SUPR victory of the season; his last came at Greenville Speedway on Aug. 31, 2014. ... The race marked the second in a Texas weekend doubleheader. Runner-up finisher B.J. Robinson was the winner of Friday's event at Golden Triangle Raceway Park. ... The tour was originally slated to make two stops at Battleground in 2016, but an April event was rained out.
