Chris Ferguson gets rolling in prelims at Dublin, N.C.
What won the race: After falling back to the fourth position, second-starting Chris Ferguson of Mount Holly, N.C., used a top-side rally to storm back to the front, overtaking polesitter G.R. Smith for a $5,000 Ultimate Super Late Model Series payday in the Rattlesnake Rumble.
Quotable: "That's the good thing about being second is you can try around," said a tired Ferguson in victory lane. "Everybody was right around the bottom and I lived and died by the top."
Key notes: Ferguson, who won on his mother's birthday, notched his third Ultimate victory of the season and the ninth of his career. ...
