Casey Noonan grabbed the Sunoco ALMS victory at Oakshade.
What won the race: Second-starting Casey Noonan of Sylvania, Ohio, notched his sixth career Sunoco American Late Model Series victory in thrilling fashion, holding off fourth-starting Rusty Schlenk of McClure, Ohio, to take the $2,000 top prize.
Key notes: All six of Noonan's series victories have come at Oakshade; he previously won an ALMS event in Wauseon on Aug. 1, 2015. ... Oakshade hosted the series for the 70th time. ... The northern Ohio oval hosted the second of three ALMS races over Memorial Day weekend. ... Doug Drown won in series action Friday at Attica Raceway Park, while Eldora Speedway wraps up the tour's tripleheader on Sunday. ... Oakshade is also on the ALMS schedule with dates June 18, July 30 and Sept. 3.
On the move: Fifth-place finisher Jon Henry of Ada, Ohio, charged from 12th; Mathew Chapman of Tecumseh, Mich., improved 14 positions en route to an eighth-place finish.
