What won the race: Hometown driver Montana Dudley grabbed the lead on lap 49 of 50 from second-starting Tyler Thomason also from Phenix, Ala., and led the final two circuits for a $3,000 Chevrolet Perfomance Super Late Model Series victory at East Alabama Motor Speedway.
Key notes: Montana Dudley captured his first career Chevy Super Late Model Series victory. ... The series has yet to have a repeat winner through five 2016 events. ... Fifteen of 20 starters finished the feature while 13 finished on the lead lap. ... The event honors Jimmy Thomas, who built East Alabama in 1973.
