Tyler Erb enjoys his $1,000 victory at Battleground Race Park.
What won the race: Third-starting Tyler Erb of New Waverly, Texas, jumped to the lead on the opening lap and never relinquished it. The 18-year-old driver led all 20 laps and earned $1,000 in the opening event of a P&W Sales Southern United Professional Racing doublehader at Battleground Race Park.
Key notes: Erb's winning margin was 1.5 seconds over second-starting Jon Mitchell. ... The youngster has three total SUPR wins on his resume, including one on May 23, 2015, at Lone Star Speedway in Kilgore, Texas. ... The caution-free feature lasted six minutes. ...
