What won the race: Jack Sullivan of Greenbrier, Ark., advanced from the seventh starting position to collect $2,000 for his 12th career Comp Cams Super Dirt Series victory in the Boston Sports Bar & Restaurant Rockabilly 33. Fellow hard chargers B.J. Robinson and Jesse Stovall rounded out the podium.
Key notes: Friday's event was slowed by four yellow flags. ... The top four finishers from Friday's feature are locked in Saturday's Allen Manufacturing Dash, which sets the first two rows of Saturday's finale. ... Sullivan also won two of the three Comp Cams events at I-30 last season. ... Jon Mitchell of Texarkana, Tex., is racing as a teammate to Kyle Beard of Trumann, Ark., this weekend. ... The fifth annual Rockabilly 45 is made up of two nights of racing (and two complete programs for all but Friday's top-four finishers). ... Friday's first-place prize was increased to $2,000-to-win and $300-to-start thanks to extra money from I-30 promoter Tracey Clay, Chris Sullivan of Central Arkansas Pest Services, Joe Clay Jr. of Dixon Road U-Pull-It and tour director Chris Ellis.
On the move: The top two finishers started on the fourth row; Jesse Stovall stormed from 12th to round out the podium.
Winner's sponsors: Sullivan's Rocket Chassis is sponsored by Triple A Diesel, Merrill Bonding, Bad Boy Mowers, Peterson Fluid Systems, Sweet Mfg., Keyster Mfg., and Central Arkansas Pest Services.
Points chase: Entering the weekend, Beard had a three-point lead over Clay Fisher atop the standings.
