The reigning series champ took the checkers 0.661 of a second ahead of Ricky Thornton Jr. at the 5/16-mile oval for his series-leading 12th career tour victory.

Quotable: "That's one of the toughest cushions we've had this year, but it was fun to run," Pierce said. "It was so different in each corner of this, this corner almost felt like (Tennessee's Volunteer Speedway). A lot of banking. You kind of had to enter (carefully) and kind of tiptoe your way around (turn) two, and then (turns) three and four you really had to tiptoe that corner, man. That was a treacherous one, but really fun."

Key notes: Bobby Pierce notched his Super Late Model-leading 29th overall victory of the season. ...
