What won the race: Inheriting control when majority leader Tyler Peterson slowed with a blown engine on lap 82, 10th-starting Jesse Glenz of Chippewa Falls, Wis., overcame a rash of cautions to lead the final 11 laps in winning Saturday's 20th annual John Seitz Memorial at River Cities Speedway. Glenz beat Cole Searing by 0.26 of a second for the $9,292 WISSOTA Late Model victory, his first career River Cities special and sixth feature win of the 2026 season.

Quotable: "I don’t think you need to have a perfect car cause there was so much character in the track, you just had to drive the s—t out of it," Glenz said. "Sometimes you’d try to be patient, but then you’d get a restart and punch it for two laps, then just get back down and maintain. It’s the freaking 20th annual Seitz, you gotta go when you get a chance, so that’s what we did and I’m just ecstatic that it paid off."

Key notes: Tyler Peterson, who led 55 of the opening 81 laps (10-29, 47-81), traded the top spot with James Giossi three times in first 47 laps and appeared headed to his first career Seitz Memorial victory before his engine threw a rod on lap 82, ending his race. ... Jesse Glenz overcame five restarts over the final 11 laps, fighting off challenges from Aaron Turnbull and Cole Searing en route to his biggest win since July 19, 2025's Duane Mahder Memorial, worth $10,555 at Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, Wis. ... Searing, who started 17th after winning the night's first B-main, took second from Turnbull on a lap-91 restart and pulled within a couple car lengths of Glenz on the final lap, but couldn't draw alongside. ... Turnbull, a two-time Seitz winner (2019-'20), finished third in his season debut. ... Josh Skorczewski retook fourth on a lap-90 restart, dropping the pole-starting Giossi, who led twice for 26 laps (1-9, 30-46), to fifth. ... A.J. Diemel, a three-time Seitz winner (2014, '16, '21), climbed 12 positions to finish sixth. ... The event honored John Seitz, the four-time Northern Late Model Racing Association champion who died of apparent natural causes while on a snowmobile trip in 2007, at the age of 36. ... Shane Edginton, winner of 2023's Seitz Memorial, left the turn-three racing surface on lap 76 before continuing to finish 13th. ...
