Nipper grabs Top Tracks victory at EAMS

PHENIX CITY, Ala. (Aug. 30) — Polesitter Jordy Nipper of Gray, Ga., took the lead when handling problems struck fellow front-row starter Richie Stephens on the seventh lap and led the rest of the way at East Alabama Motor Speedway for a $1,500 victory on the Carl Black Top Tracks Challenge Series. Hometown driver Dana Eiland ran second most of the way and finished in the runner-up spot ahead of Bobby Joe Eiland, Brian Burke and Mike Parkerson. Stephens dropped out with a 21st-place finish.
