Michael Chilton celebrates his first Iron-Man victory of the season.
What won the race: Leading all 30 laps from the pole, Michael Chilton of Salvisa, Ky., overcame late restarts to win Friday's 19th annual Ike Moler Memorial at Moler Raceway Park. Chilton beat Kody Evans by 1.122 seconds for the $5,000 payday, his first Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series victory of the season and the 13th of his career.
Key notes: Chilton cruised to his third overall feature win of the season, his first outside the Bluegrass State. ... Chilton captured his first Iron-Man Series victory since Oct. 4, 2025, at Mudlick Valley Raceway in Wallingford, Ky. ... Third-starting R.J. Conley quickly grabbed second on the opening lap until Kody Evans reclaimed the runner-up spot on lap four; Evans held second the rest of the way, but never seriously challenged Chilton. ... Justin Cooper briefly took third from Conley on a lap-16 restart before Conley slipped back by a lap later and rounded out the podium finishers; Cooper was fourth. ... Rod Conley improved three positions to place seventh. ... The race was slowed three times, first on the 16th lap when Brad Rickels, Michael LeFevers and Will Harris were eliminated as they battled for 14th. ... Seth Daniels slowed from sixth to draw the second yellow on the 27th lap and retired. ... The final stoppage came on the 29th lap just before Chilton took the white flag. ...
