What won the race: Taking control with an outside pass of Chris Schneider on a lap-11 restart, Max Blair of Centerville, Pa., cruised the rest of the way in winning the Bill Emig Memorial for the fourth time, pocketing $20,000 on the Hovis Auto & Truck Supply RUSH Late Model Series at Lernerville Speedway. The eighth-starting Blair pulled away after taking the lead to capture the weather-threatened 40-lapper in the 36th annual event, taking the checkers 3.165 seconds ahead of Schneider.
Quotable: "I ain't sure what happened down here in that first lap, but the sea just parted and it worked out," Blair said. "We definitely had a little luck on our side getting us up there, but once we got out front, I felt really good."
