Searing's $3,000 victory denied Ward, the Arizona transplant who won a night earlier at Hancock County Speedway, a sweep of the Iowa weekend.
Key notes: Cole Searing notched his 10th career Tri-State tour victory. ... He took the checkers 1.310 seconds ahead of reigning series champion J.T. Wasmund while Tim Ward, who led laps 19-23, settled for third. ... Ward's Friday victory at Hancock County Speedway in Britt, Iowa, was the first in a Late Model for the modified standout. ...
