Key notes: The 56th annual World 100 concludes with Saturday’s 100-lap, $100,000-to-win finale at Eldora Speedway. … The three-day event began when Ashton Winger and Brandon Overton split Thursday’s 25-lap semifeatures that were completed in the wee hours of Friday morning after a more than three-hour rain delay. Overton did not compete Friday as he returned home to attend the birth of his child. … Brandon Sheppard and Hudson O’Neal each topped Friday’s 25-lappers for $12,000 paydays. Sheppard secured his third career World 100 prelim victory (two in 2015) and first Eldora win since 2023’s Dirt Track World Championship. O’Neal has nine major Eldora wins since 2019, including 2023’s World 100, worth more than $130,000. … Bobby Pierce has 14 career Eldora specials dating back to 2014, including June’s Dirt Late Model Dream XXXII, combining to collect more than $500,000 over that span. … Jonathan Davenport has 11 career Eldora Crown jewel victories, including five World 100 globe trophies (2015, ’17, ’19, ’21-’22). … Ricky Thornton Jr. won last year’s $72,000 World 100 finale for his first career Eldora crown jewel. … Nick Hoffman won June’s $20,000 FloRacing Night in America Series warmup prior to Dream XXXII action before adding one of Sunday's $5,000 Baltes Classic features in Iron-Man Series action. … Josh Rice earned a $30,000 Dream prelim victory last year at Eldora. … Gates open at noon with hot laps at 6 p.m.; a church outreach service will take place at 2 p.m. followed by a driver autograph session from 3:30-4:30 in the fan zone barn. … Watch live on FloRacing.
