Key notes: The 56th annual World 100 concludes with Saturday’s 100-lap, $100,000-to-win finale at Eldora Speedway. … The three-day event began when Ashton Winger and Brandon Overton split Thursday’s 25-lap semifeatures that were completed in the wee hours of Friday morning after a more than three-hour rain delay. Overton did not compete Friday as he returned home to attend the birth of his child. … Brandon Sheppard and Hudson O’Neal each topped Friday’s 25-lappers for $12,000 paydays. Sheppard secured his third career World 100 prelim victory (two in 2015) and first Eldora win since 2023’s Dirt Track World Championship.
